Up on the main street, which is just a quick walk across a parking lot you will be delighted to discover the charming, and historic, fishing village of Leland, Michigan

Immediately you will find the Leland Mercantile Company (the locals call it "The Merc") - 231-256-9030 which stocks all the dry goods you will need. You might want to call ahead to confirm their open store hours during season.

Main Street in Leland is lined with interesting shops, boutiques, world famous restaurants, banks, a post office and Leelanau Books (231-256-7111) and a few blocks in you will discover George Ball with Good Olde Books.

Take time as well to stop by Hansen Foods, the Good Cook's Store, in Suttons Bay,
which has the largest and best selection of wine in Leelanau County (Becky provides excellent suggestions all year long!). Hansen Foods is also famous for their Deli and their daily lunch specials and all grocery items. Please feel free to call their deli or Wineshop for special orders at (231) 271-4280. Known Books, the bookstore in Suttons Bay also keeps Hansen Foods stocked with all the current releases, some local titles and books from the bestsellers' lists.

in Leland is a private marina serving the boating families on Lake Leelanau. They have a full staff of technicians who offer full service engine and motor repair, parts and service. They sell boating accessories and boat fuel is available for sale too. They are an Avalon Pontoon Boat Dealer (they have a few rentals available too!) and in the winter Stander Marine, Inc. also sells and services Ski-Doo snowmobiles. During the winter Stander Marine's showroom is lined up with Ski-Doo snowmobiles and racks of jackets, bibs, gloves and helmets to keep you warm and safe too!

Suttons Bay also has a full service marina.
